Serving Benton and Franklin Counties since 1965
Lisa Hill and other LCBAS birders lead local bird walks on Bateman Island on (typically) the first Saturday of each month, September through June. The first Saturday walks are aimed at beginning birders.
We meet at 8:00 AM at the Wye Park for a morning birding walk through the island's inland bird habitat and we also observe the surrounding Yakima Delta and Columbia River for waterfowl.
All birders are invited, especially those who wish to expand their birding knowledge by accompanying experienced birders. Average sightings for these walks are 45 to 50 species. For any questions, call Lisa Hill, 509-869-6715.
Location: The Bateman Island entry is on the causeway from Wye Park off Columbia Park Trail in Richland, WA.
